A Sincere Thank You From 112 Prince Street
The Prince Street mural, created by artist Richard J. Haas, was originally presented in 1974 and repainted in 2023 in honor of Doris C. Freedman (1928-1981). Doris was a champion for the arts, artists, and the right of the public to enjoy art in their daily lives. She played a major role sponsoring public art from 1969 to 1981 through her leadership as the Director of Cultural Affairs at Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, President of City Walls, the Municipal Arts Society, and Founder of Public Art Fund, in New York City.
